Sautéed plaice fillets with beans wrapped in bacon
Ingredients
- 250g plaice fillets à la meunière (1 pack)
- 200g green beans
- Freshly ground salt and pepper
- approx. 10 very small potatoes
- 8 tbsp vegetable oil
- 6 rashers of bacon
- Cumin seeds
Preparation
Clean and quarter the potatoes and fry them in 4 tbsp of oil for around 15 mins, turning frequently. Season with salt, pepper and cumin. Blanch the beans for approx. 3 mins in salt water then drain them. Group the beans into bundles of 8 (approx.) and wrap a rasher of bacon tightly round them. Fry until crispy in the pan with approx. 4 tbsp of oil. Sauté the plaice fillets in a pan of hot oil at medium heat, turning carefully, for approx. 8-12 mins. Serve with the potato wedges and beans wrapped in bacon.
