Plaice rolls Saltimbocca with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts

Ingredients

  • 2 Pacific plaice fillets
  • 10 potatoes
  • 2-3 tablespoons warm milk
  • salt and pepper4 slices of ham
  • 8 fresh sage leaves
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 net of Brussels sprouts
  • 50g butter
  • 100g almond leaves

Preparation

Defrost the Pacific plaice fillets, rinse, dry and cut in half lengthwise. Peel the potatoes, cut them into pieces and halve the lemon. Wash the Brussels sprouts and remove the individual leaves from the stalk.

2. preheat the oven to 180°C convection. Salt the plaice fillets, sprinkle with lemon and roll them up with the sage leaves. Then wrap the ham around it and fix everything with small sticks. (The best way is to use metal sticks). Brush a hot baking tray with oil and put the plaice rolls in the oven for about 10-15 min from both sides.

3.Boil the potatoes in salted water and then use a potato masher. For creamy mashed potatoes, add a little warm milk and season the finished mash with salt and a little nutmeg.

4.Heat the Brussels sprouts in a pan with plenty of oil and the flaked almonds and fry them vigorously all around.

Serve everything together and enjoy the delicious Christmas dish.
