Pacific plaice with spring vegetables



  • 250g Pacific plaice fillet
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 piece of fennel
  • 1 stick of leek
  • 2 tbsp herb cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth
  • 1 cup rice
  • 150ml water


First peel the carrots, halve them and cut into thin slices. Clean the leek, wash and cut into thin rings. Also wash the fennel and cut into thin slices. Sauté the sliced vegetables vigorously in a little oil for 4-5 minutes. Then deglaze the vegetables with a little water and stir in the vegetable stock. Now let the vegetables simmer gently for about 5-6 minutes with the lid closed. Finally, stir in the cream cheese and simmer on low heat. Meanwhile, prepare the rice as usual. Now fry the plaice in 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter on both sides. Serve the plaice with the spring vegetables and the rice. Enjoy your meal!
